stands for Kilsyth Community Church.
However, it is also the abbreviation of our church motto,
“The Key - Christ’s Compassion”.
God, in Worship and Obedience
From the youngest to the oldest, we encourage everyone to have a personal relationship with God. We really value our times of worship. We see them as an opportunity to draw close to our heavenly Father as one family and experience His presence. We express our love to the Lord in worship in a variety of biblical ways.The Lord Jesus Christ is the Head of our church. Because of this we seek to obey the teaching of His Word and the leading of the Holy Spirit in everything we do. The ultimate eveidence of our love for the Lord is our obedience to Him.
Each Other, in Fellowship and Discipling
At KCC we believe that the church is people who have received Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour and have become part of God's family - not the building or an organisation. Fellowship means, "having in common" - much more than attending church services together. Giving our lives to Christ should lead to sharing our lives with each other. We are continually looking at more ways to encourage fellowship within church.We aim to help new Christians develop their relationship with God so that they in turn can do the same for future new Christians.We believe that every Christian needs to be personally discipled and every Christian ought to be personally discipling others.
Our Community, in Service and Evangelism
We love our town and we want to play a positive part in it's development. Everybody in our community is important to us and we want to serve the people of Kilsyth "from the cradle to the grave". Of course, we believe that the best way we can help others is by sharing the good news of Jesus with them which is the main reason why we are here as a church. We seek to communicate the gospel in various relevant ways.
Our Nation and Beyond, in Equiping and Sending
We love Scotland too and want to make a positive contribution to it's future development. We also want to serve God's purpose further afield. We have a "Christian workers care team" who make sure our missionaries and Bible College students are looked after and bring to our attention other missionary projects. 10% of any money given to the church is distributed through the care team.
We recognise that prayer must back all that we do so that we are reaching out with God's love in God's way. So, KCC is driven by compassion and powered by prayer.
